Privacy Policy

Meteo·Models is a free tool with no user accounts. We collect as little as possible. This page explains what happens with data when you use the site.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account or provide personal information. Your settings, selected models and saved map bookmarks are stored locally in your browser and are not sent to us.

Analytics and consent

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (for example, which features are used). Analytics only runs after you accept it through the consent banner, using region-appropriate defaults. You can decline or change your choice at any time via the banner.

Third-party services

To deliver the map we send necessary requests to: Open-Meteo (forecast data), Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), CARTO and OpenStreetMap (base map tiles), and Google Fonts (typography). These providers may process your IP address to serve their content, subject to their own privacy policies.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage for your preferences and bookmarks. Analytics cookies are only set after consent. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

Because we hold little or no personal data about you, there is generally nothing to access or delete on our side; your local settings can be cleared from your browser at any time. Where applicable law (such as GDPR) grants you rights over any data a third party processes, you can exercise them with that provider or contact us for help.
